Great Barrier Reef

These pictures were taken yesterday by the onboard photographer who happened to be named Liam. I've lost my cord to my camera, so my pictures will have to wait to be uploaded.

Two funny stories--

I was first in the water at the site when the shark was below, I called out to Elle and Justin "Shark below me!" Elle started to freak out, screaming and crying--- TO GET IN THE WATER! She was absolutely beside herself trying to get Justin to get her gear on quicker so that she could get in and see the shark. She nearly jumped in without any gear at all, Justin had to hold her back. Finally, she was geared up and got in and was able to see the sharks. No fear at all, despite the fact that Jaws is her favorite movie and Justin regales her with terrifying shark stories almost nightly. I was amazed and proud!
Earlier, we had all camped out in the captain's area and had gotten Liam to sleep with his white noise on my iPhone, it puts off a hissing sound. We didn't notice it, but apparently the captain was walking around the ship for about 30 minutes looking for this hissing sound. He was beginning to panic but trying not to alarm anyone. He was sending crew down to the engine room to inspect the engines, and was beginning to break out in cold sweats. He later told us that he was pretty fearful that something was seriously wrong on board, he had never heard this sound before. Suddenly he noticed the phone and heard the sound coming from it. Justin and I were out on deck and heard "Mom and Dad!!! Parents of the baby, come here!" Then we panicked, thinking something was wrong with Liam... boy did we get reprimanded. But later we had a good laugh with him, he was pretty cool about it once he calmed down.
